Dear Cupid, I Want These!

Soooo, we all know Valentines Day is right around the corner, and I LOVE to browse around for my own gift :) So imagine how happy I was to come upon Haffina Creations through the HAF Team. Not only does she have some yummy earrings, (and necklaces, and rings and scarves....you see where I'm going, right?) BUT.....her birthday is this month and to celebrate, she's offering 30% off everything in her shops!! YAY!!

Oh, and did I mention that (because i'm nosey...uummm I mean curious...) She's the mama to 5 kids- 2 of which are following in their moms foot steps!!

A Wonderful Weekend!!

What a beautiful weekend it was here! See, I'm going to tell you a secret....as much as I like to complain about being cold, I LOVE the snow! I don't care if I have to shovel it, in fact, I wish we got more than what we do around here. So needless to say waking up and realizing that the weather man actually called it right when he said we were going to have snow, I was thrilled!!! Especially because this

was so much prettier than this which was going on in my kitchen!!

Watching my babies play always makes it more worthwhile too... (hhhmmm recognize that black hat??? That's one of my buddy Lisas from ToldUSo,, hehehe imagine that)

My oldest was busy too...he was working on Daffodil Days for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life!!

I won't go into the kitchen, however, you should know that my husband promised it would be done in a weekend, and (drum roll, please) it's done!! New counters, new sink and painted cabinets!! He rocks!

I also have selfish reasons for having a wonderful weekend..

I was very excited to find my little shop featured on T.Rusk4u's blog!!! I am so much more than grateful!! Teresa says she is possibly going to start a series featuring new shops!! How wonderful is that. On top of all of this, she has an amazing shop of her own, with some beautiful jewelry!! If you've not checked her out already, stop by her blog and say Hi!!

I want to say thank you also, to all of my new fans on Facebook...you all have been so warm and welcoming and helpful, it's really just amazing!! Thank you again!!

Ok, I'm going for now, I have to get one little one dressed and another off to school! (Oh, and shhh but I'm hoping they're right about more snow tonight!!)

It's wwayyy to cold to be outside taking pictures..buttttt....

but..I did it anyway...and wow did it make a difference!! Let me know what you think of my little skirts!!

Lisa over at ToldUSo kept telling me to take my pictures outside, and I have to say she was absolutely right!!

I have to tell you all, I'm REALLY excited right now!! I woke up to the greatest message on my facebook!! Lisa (yup, another Lisa!!) over at Blast From The Past Designs was having a give away when she hit 50 blog followers, and guess what I won!!! She's going to be sending me a custom necklace!!! I can't wait, and don't worry, I'm going to share with all of you how fantastic it is!!

Alrighty!! I'm cutting this short for now, I have 2 more skirts to bust out, oh and did I mention, we're expecting snow tomorrow? YAY!! I can't wait!!!

Happy Groundhog Day and Seller of the Week is ME!! yay!!

Happy Groundhog Day!!! Little guy saw his shadow this morning, although, with all those flashes, who wouldn't wanna run the other way right!! I don't know about you, but if I don't get some warmer weather shortly, I'm going to go crazy!! (and so are my kiddies)

So, I'm pretty new to this world of Etsy and all, but the ladies at Creativity By Ann Rose are fantasitic!! They've decided that each week they are going to not only post their "Etsy Picks of the Week", but they are going to pick a Seller of the Week as well, to help Esty sellers promote their shop!!! Isn't that awesome!!! I was so excited when I found out this week the Seller of the Week was me, if it hadn't been so early in the morning I would have screamed!!! Now if you haven't been to their blog, you really should drop in and say "hi"!! Not only are these sisters so very generous, buuuttt, very talented as well. Their shop not only has great jewelry, (like this necklace that I really want) but some beautiful cards too!!!!

Now, go hurry, run on over there and check them out!!! and while your at it, make sure my husband gets me that necklace!! ;)

The Beginning......

Hhhmmmm, well I guess a little about me...I'm a mother, a wife, a daughter....totally a blog stalker (in a good way :) I love to make just about anything, I hate emptying the dishwasher...I just started an Etsy shop, which I'm really excited about. I love seeing the creative side of everyone!!

Second, the name....where did it come from...wweeeellll, I was sitting in my living room one day, and happened to glance up and catch the sunlight coming through the window and hitting the pine cone in this teacup just right, and I had to take a picture....It turned out amazing....the name just came to me.... It made me think of Alice in Wonderland...imagine...if you will, your as small as a mouse, walking through a pine forest, across the soft needles that cover ground, there's a little coffee shop. Just outside sits a little table and two little squirrels drinking coffee out of acorns, and on the window behind them, this picture, on the glass of the shop.

I know, far out, but really, this is how my mind works.

I hope you will stop back. I plan on using this blog to share ideas, promote shops, (no not just mine :), I may even try my hand at a tutorial or 2!! It'll be exciting!! (especially because I need a lot of pictures, I'm tutorial challenged)
