It's almost time!!!

I'm taking a time out tonight...partly because I'm exhausted, and partly because at the beginning of the night mother nature decided our electric should go out... :)
I can't believe it was exactly a month ago yesterday that my connection to all of you wonderful people out there became a little more than comments under a status, or just a "like"....May 1st 2010 was when all of you proved to me that there are still so many generous, caring people out there and that the world isn't all bad.
67 shops have offered to donate to our Relay for Life auction.  I have seen so many amazing packages come through my door.  So much skill and love put into each piece.  I've read cards from people about who they have lost, or that they themselves have battled cancer and won...you have truly reinforced my joy, and drive to fight this terrible disease...
I look forward to being able to deliver all of these wonderful gifts to our auction so that everyone else can enjoy them as much as I have!

The other thing (amongst the many) I look forward to at the Relay is lighting a luminary for my Daddy, and this year I'll be lighting one right next to his for my friend Kris's mom, Vivian.  She's fighting cancer...and I think of her often, even though we've never met...It's amazing what can bond people together isn't it....

I'll close this one with a few pics of the baskets we've built together...thank you friends...you will never know what all you have done means to me...
hugs,
heather
P.S.  If you wanna see all the things donated in detail, check out our photo album!

Awesome & amazing! Didn't this start out as one basket & i see SEVEN!!!!!
Awesome & amazing don't even begin to describe this. I am proud to be a part of this project. And thank you to all who have contributed. A BFF of mine has breast cancer. I pray that soon, none of us will have to go through what others have. What a wonderful outpouring of love is shown here. And a very sincere thank you, {{{hugs}}}, & appreciation to our Hostess of this project. THE PINE CONE TEA CUP ROCKS!!!! <><
